Charleston, SC is the true definition of Southern Charm! The beautiful rainbow colored homes, historical plantations, crystal clear blue waters, cute boutiques, and delicious southern food make this the perfect girls weekend destination! We went on a mother/daughter trip here this summer and had the best time. We are so excited to share our favorite Charleston restaurants, bars and things to do!

TOP RESTURANTS
-THE TREATY HOUSE: The Treaty House is a sophisticated, upscale resturant off of Main Street in Fredericksburg. They are known for their craft cocktails, shareable small plates, large patio and live jazz music. It's the perfect spot to go for dinner or to just grab a cocktail and listen to some fun music!
-FARM HAUS BISTRO: The Farm Haus Bistro is a beautiful, quaint resturant located at the Herb Farm! The restaurant is surrounded by gorgeous flowers and gardens filled with colorful fruits and vegetables. Every dish is prepared homemade with the fruits and vegetables grown in the gardens, which makes every dish absolutely delicious and one of a kind!
-HONDO'S ON MAIN: Hondo's on Main is a causal, laid-back, fun restaurant and bar located right on Main Street. They serve classic Texas dishes and have live music almost every night of the week.
-VAUDEVILLE: Vaudeville is a classy, charming restaurant located in the downstairs part of a cute boutique off Main Street! It is a great spot for lunch or dinner and they are very accommodating for large groups. They serve excellent new American comfort food. Be sure to make a reservation as it fills up fast!
-OTTO'S: Otto's is cozy, cute, small restaurant right off Main Street. They serve German dishes and handcrafted cocktails.
-CROSSROADS: If you are looking for a fancy steak dinner, then Crossroads is the spot for you! It is located right off Main Street and is known for it's juicy steaks, fancy cocktails and live music.
-WOENER WAREHOUSE: Woener Warehouse is located inside of a cute boutique that resembles the show Fixer Upper! This charming little restaurant is perfect for brunch or lunch!
TOP WINERIES
-GRAPE CREEK VINEYARD: Grape Creek is one of our favorite wineries in Fredericksburg! They have a beautiful patio, live music, restaurant onsite and excellent wine! You can bring your own food here if you would like and have a little picnic.
-BECKER VINEYARDS: Becker is another one of our favorites in Fredericksburg! The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. They have a gorgeous patio with live music and delicious wine. Becker is the perfect spot to spend the whole day at if you had to choose one winery, because you can bring your own food and hang out on the green grass with a little picnic.
-BARONS CREEK VINEYARDS: Barons Creek is one of the prettiest wineries in Fredericksburg! They have a beautiful outdoor patio with fountains flowing and little cottages you can rent out to stay the night.
-4.0 WINE CELLARS: 4.0 not only has excellent wine but also has wonderful and welcoming staff that make the experience at this winery very memorable! They have live music, a beautiful patio, great wine and fun people!

-PLANTATION TOUR: Charleston is known for their beautiful plantation tours. Below are a few of the top ones:

MAGNOLIA PLANTATION: Magnolia Plantation is a historic house with beautiful gardens. It is actually one of the oldest plantations in the South. Spend the day here and take a tour of the house, explore the gardens and even venture through the zoo if you have time. The tours book up quickly so be sure to book a ticket in advance.

MIDDLETON PLACE PLANTATION TOUR: Middleton Place is home to the oldest landscaped garden in America. It is absolutely gorgeous! Spend the day here taking a tour of the plantation house, walking through the gardens, and grabbing a bit to eat at their restaurant on site.
-CHARLESTON WALKING TOUR: This 2 hour walking tour of historic Charleston is totally worth it! You get to hear about the history of Charleston see some of the historical landmarks and take some great pictures all while getting in some exercise. Also it was only $20. I would highly recommend this tour! It was a great way to see and learn about the city!
-SUNSET CRUISE: Take a sunset cruise in the Charleston Harbor! It is a 2 hour cruise that takes you around Charleston. They also have drinks and snacks you can purchase food and drinks on the cruise.
-BOUTIQUE SHOPPING: Spend the afternoon boutique shopping on King Street which is Charleston's famous street filled with cute shops, restaurants and bars.
-VISIT RAINBOW ROW: You have to visit the famous Rainbow Row while you are in Charleston. Rainbow row

TOP PLACES TO STAY
-SPLENDID INN: The Splendid Inn is a charming set of 3 cottages right off Main Street! You can rent out one or all three of these eclectic, clean and cute cottages. They also have a fire pit out front that is fun to perfect to sit around to make s'mores or have a glass of wine!
-FREDERICKSBURG HERB FARM: The Herm Farm has cute little houses you can rent out right on property! Be sure to eat at their bistro if you stay here. It is a excellent!
